About the Cascade Cut Ups

John Mahoney

Our "Father of Cut Ups", what can we say?  The man went off one day and came back with a banjo.  Our lives have never been the same.  John plays bass and fiddle and banjo and does the PA work for the Cut Ups.  He came up with the name (formally the Bandara Bluegrass Boys) he took "cut ups" from the name of a Don Reno band.  And the rest is history.
Reno rules!

Steve Leming

Steve Leming The authentic voice of the Cut Ups. Steve has been playing all kinds of music for many years. "The Man" as we all like to call him, except when Mahoney is around. Just kidding there John. Steve is the real deal, talented as the day is long, plays, guitar, dobro, banjo, mandolin, you name it! If it has strings, Steve can play it or figure it out.
